Several cryptocurrencies are close to hitting a new all-time high. Somewhat surprising, given the recent bearish momentum affecting Bitcoin and Ethereum. Most altcoins aren’t tied to these markets, though.
THORChain (RUNE)
Although many people have ignored RUNE for some time now, the project is starting to hit its stride. Priced at $3.23, It notes a substantial 36.8% gain for the day in both USD and BTC value alike. Today, RUNE put up a new all-time high, although that value is likely to be broken again in the hours to come.
1Inch (1INCH)
As a token of an AMM DEX, 1INCH has been dealing with a few ups and downs since its release. Thanks to a substantial gain today, all of that negative sentiment appears to be a thing of the past. The current all-time high is $3.31, but surpassing it will not pose any significant challenges, given the current momentum affecting most altcoins.
Quant (QNT)
People who read our list of altcoins decoupling from Bitcoin yesterday may have witnessed the new Quant all-time high. Currently, QNT trades at just over $25, with its all-time high being closer to $26. The coming hours and days will prove very interesting for this project.
Aave (AAVE)
It has been a wild ride for Aave, one of the OG DeFi projects. Lately, the price momentum for AAVE has been very bullish, resulting in a current price point of over $285. The all-time high of $298.41 is a bit further ahead but not necessarily out of reach. It is worth noting that AAVE is losing ground against Bitcoin and Ethereum, albeit not that much.
Elrond (EGLD)
One currency on many people’s radars is EGLD, the native currency of the Elrond project. It notes another 22.8% gain today, making it one of the top altcoins on that department’s market. Valued at nearly $58, the push to a new all-time high above $60.92 is likely to occur over the weekend. The coming days will prove rather crucial for most altcoins on the market.
