In a sign of growing integration within the traditional fiat currency ecosystem, Coinbase Commerce has added crypto invoicing to its stack of services for businesses.
Coinbase Commerce is a separate platform from the trading sites where merchants anywhere in the world may accept cryptocurrency as payments. Accepted payments are decentralized and effectively peer to peer transactions. Of course, if you want a refund you need to go directly to the other party as Coinbase cannot resolve questioned transactions.
For invoicing, you simply need to add the client’s email address, due and share the link with the person.
By providing invoicing, Coinbase can better compete with big Fintechs like PayPal, Square, etc. that have long facilitated payments and transfers and have moved directly into the crypto-sphere.
Coinbase Commerce reports that over 8000 merchants currently accept crypto. Plugins for Shopify and WooCommerce are available for the Coinbase Commerce site.
