Meta Looks to Dismiss Blockchain Group’s Infinity Logo Lawsuit

Meta Platforms Inc. sought to dismiss a trademark infringement suit over its new infinity logo, arguing to a federal court in California that a Swiss blockchain nonprofit lacked a protectable infinity mark and that Meta’s logo wouldn’t cause consumer confusion.

“No one owns the exclusive rights to the infinity symbol as a trademark,” Meta said in its Monday filing, noting that there are so many infinity symbol trademarks in the US that it has its own design search code at the US Trademark Office.
