Cryptocurrency prices today: Bitcoin rises over 1%; Ethereum, XRP, Litecoin trading in green

World’s largest cryptocurrency bitcoin was trading marginally higher today. On Coinmarketcap, the price of bitcoin rose 1.01% to $45,146. Market cap of the cryptocurrency reached $851.303 billion.

Currently, the global crypto market cap stands at $2.06 trillion.

Other cryptocurrencies were trading on a mixed note today. Ethereum gained 0.43% to $3,286 and Dogecoin was trading 1.40% lower at $0.2364.

Digital token Stellar fell 0.28% to $0.3183 and XRP climbed 0.05% to $1.07. Litecoin gained 0.05% to $177.36 and Uniswap rose 0.47% to $22.70. Of late, crypto prices have risen on the back of comments from billionaire Elon Musk and Ark Investment Management LLC’s Cathie Wood.

In late July, Elon Musk said Tesla was “most likely” to start accepting bitcoin as payment again. The comment helped the cryptocurrency race past the $30,000 level. The electric carmaker said in May that it would no longer accept the cryptocurrency for purchases.
