On 20 October, the prices of most of the cryptocurrencies were again in the red as the global crypto market cap slipped by over 0.73% over the last day. Bitcoin dropped by 0.66%, while Ethereum lost 1.11%.
The crypto market was again in the red on Thursday morning as the majority of the top cryptos were trading lower. At the time of writing this article (1030 IST), Bitcoin, the world’s most popular and largest crypto, fell by 0.66 percent and Ethereum, the second largest crypto worldwide, shed 1.11 percent, over the last 24 hours and were trading at $19,137.01 and $1,289.15, respectively.
Altcoins showed mixed trends
Popular cryptos like XRP, Cardano, Solana, Polygon, Avalanche, Litecoin, Chainlink, VeChain, Filecoin, Cosmos, etc. have also shown a decline in their prices since last day. However, cryptos like Polkadot, Dai, Uniswap, Stellar, Monero, Quant, etc. witnessed price gains today.
The global crypto market cap fell by 0.73 percent and stood at $919.57 billion, while the total crypto market volume plunged by 15.92 percent to $45.22 billion.
Presently, Bitcoin’s dominance is over 39 percent, followed by that of Ethereum’s 17.1 percent.
Meme coins
Meme tokens like SHIB and DOGE were trading with cuts today, with prices dropping by 0.90 percent and 0.02 percent, respectively, at the time of writing.
Metaverse tokens
Most of the Metaverse tokens were in the red today. Tokens like Decentraland, The Sandbox, and Axie Infinity are trading lower today, dropping by 2.10 percent, 3.31 percent, and 6.73 percent, respectively, over the last day and were trading at $0.6158, $0.7414 and $10.03, respectively.
