Bitcoin developers don’t need to help digital asset owners recover lost cryptocurrency, an English judge said, in a decision that could help to carve out new law on crypto and blockchain technology.

Software developers who control digital asset networks do not owe any legal duties to those who store or trade crypto held on the networks, Judge Sarah Falk ruled on Friday at a London court.
