Ferby
Authorities have announced the arrest of a man accused of selling heroin in Yadkin County following an investigation involving multiple local law enforcement agencies. According to a press relese, during January of 2022 the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office and Triad ABC began investigating Daniel Isaiah Ferby for his alleged involvement in the sell and distribution of heroin/fentanyl.
Ferby had previously been charged in Yadkin County for death by distribution in a 2019 overdose death. Ferby was out on bond for this matter. After conducting multiple interviews Ferby was discovered to be supplying large amounts of heroin/fentanyl to subjects in Yadkin and surrounding counties.
An undercover operation by Triad ABC, Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office, Davie County Sheriff’s Office, and Forsyth County’s Drug Taskforce led to Ferby’s arrest on Feb. 4.
In January of 2022 more than ninety grams of heroin/fentanyl were seized as a result of this investigation. During Ferby’s arrest he was also found in possession of thirty four grams of suspected oxycodone hydrochloride tablets, marijuana, seventeen thousand dollars and a handgun.
Ferby received a $1,267,000 secured bond and was expected in court again on Feb. 10. According to the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation is ongoing and additional arrest are expected.
Daniel Isaiah Ferby was charged with the following:
· 9 Felony counts of Trafficking a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Heroin/Fentanyl.
· 1 Felony Count of Trafficking a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Oxycodone Hydrochloride.
· 3 Felony Counts of Sell and Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance, Heroin/Fentanyl.
· 4 Felony Counts of Maintaining a Dwelling Place for the Sale of Controlled Substances
· 3 Felony Counts of Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell and Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Heroin/Fentanyl.
· 1 Felony Count of Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Oxycodone Hydrochloride.
· 1 Felony Count of Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Marijuana.
· 1 Felony Count of Possession of Firearm by Felon.
· 1 Misdemeanor Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
· 1 Misdemeanor Count of Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia.
