Rolling Stone x Coinbase launch a new NFT collection for the superbowl

Rolling Stone magazine has just announced its newest partnership with Coinbase. As a result of this partnership, Rolling Stone will mint an exclusive NFT collection offered as a limited drop to Rolling Stone Live event-goers.

This NFT collection ushers in a new era for this legendary music magazine.

Rolling Stone and Coinbase recruited some of the top artists in the NFT space to design this NFT collection. In addition to the static image offered exclusively to event-goers, Rolling Stone will drop animated NFTs on Coinbase later this year. Furthermore, this mint marks the return of Rolling Stone Live. This is a star-studded live music event in Los Angeles that has not happened in two years due to the pandemic.

Who’s involved in the Rolling Stone NFT collection?

12 top-tier digital artists designed this collection. These include:

  • Deadfellaz: 10,000 undead NFTs on the Ethereum Blockchain. Each Deadfella is unique because it is randomly generated from more than 400 traits, including piercing, hairstyles and tattoos. Betty, the mastermind behind Deadfellaz, created the collection with the intention that every Deadfella is gender-neutral.
  • Elise Swoopes: The creator of the dreamy “Displaced: Giraffe in the City” collection. She has also worked with big names such as Apple and Adobe and is now using her platform to advocate for more diversity in the crypto space.
  • Boss Beauties: The 10,000 NFT collection features women of all shapes, shades and styles. The Boss Beauties collection sold out in an hour, and its NFTs are highly sought after by female celebrities.
  • KidEight: A graphic designer and digital artist that works closely with major music labels. He’s the man behind EVOL: a collection featuring a 2000-year-old Cherub in various guises.

The other artists involved are MikeGrillMadeIt (Rennaisauce and Da Burning Bush); MarkTheHabibi (Habibi); Domino (Presessence Vol. 1); Giant Swan; Alida Sun; Jeff Manning (20th Century Fox and Adidas); Mister Goldie (Scary Garys) and Emonee LaRussa (Voice NFTs). Rolling Stone’s first collection will drop ahead of the Super Bowl LVI.
