The ripple effect of the ‘Great Resignation’

You may have noticed it: Perhaps the restaurant down the street is closed twice a week now, or you’ve seen reduced hours at the nearby coffee shop, or you’re attending Zoom goodbyes for coworkers as regularly as Zoom staff meetings.

In one way or another, we’re all feeling the ripple effect of the so-called “Great Resignation,” as workers continue the trend of leaving their jobs en masse. In November, the country set a new record for the highest recorded number of quits in one month: 4.5 million.

Evan Horowitz, executive director at the Center for State Policy Analysis at Tufts University, joins us to break down what’s happening.
