RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – LATAM airlines has been affected by flight delays since last Friday, December 17, due to issues in the Guarulhos (SP) airport signaling system and health checks of incoming international travelers. According to the company, there was no overbooking – when more tickets are sold than capacity – but instead a “disruption in the operation.”
As a result of the ripple effect that extended over the weekend, LATAM began to relocate passengers to other flights, as well as dedicate staff at airports to guide customers impacted by cancellations and delays.
