Cryptocurrency prices continued to climb upwards on Thursday as the virtual coin market has witnessed a broad-based recovery over the past three days. Experts indicated that bullish momentum has returned to the market and prices are likely to rise over the next few days.
Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, was trading at $48,300 at 11:15 am. That’s a 3 per cent rise compared to its value 24 hours ago. Its market capitalisation has crossed $900 billion and the 24-hour trade volume remained steady at $1.05 billion.
Ether performed better than Bitcoin in the past 24 hours as it rose over 7 per cent. It was trading at over $3,600 and its market capitalisation has crossed $420 billion. The trading volume in the last 24 hours remains steady at $1.08 billion.

Other altcoins also performed better in comparison to yesterday, with most registering sharp gains. Some altcoins that made impressive gains include XRP, Cardano, Dogecoin, Chainlink, Uniswap, Polygo and Litecoin.
Commenting on the past 24 hours of crypto trade, Edul Patel, CEO and Co-founder of Mudrex, a global algorithm based crypto trading platform, said, “The past 24 hours were pretty bullish for the crypto spectrum, with most of the top 30 cryptocurrencies by market cap rallied. Ether seems to have broken away from the consolidation of the past couple of weeks.”
“With the total crypto market cap crossing $2.20 trillion, traders would be closely tracking any large transactions in BTC and ETH that could move the markets in either direction,” he added.
“Traded volumes also remained high, signalling a positive momentum in the markets.”
