A driver plowed through sidewalks and signage at several N. Bridge Street businesses, including Burger King on Saturday night.
ELKIN — A Yadkinville woman was arrested on multiple charges Saturday after she crashed her vehicle through the parking areas and medians around several businesses on N. Bridge St. in Elkin. According to Sgt. Blackburn of the Elkin Police Department, the driver crossed the center line on N. Bridge St. on Saturday evening around 7 p.m. striking several objects near Burger King. The vehicle ended up at the construction site for the new Cookout restaurant
No injuries were reported.
The driver has been identified as Leslie Pinnix Large, of Yadkinville. She was charged with DWI, driving left of center, and possessing a schedule IV controlled substance. Large was given a $500 unsecured bond.
