CertiK reports that it has finalized a Series B funding round, raising more than $37 million in capital.
The CertiK Family of investors continues to grow with backing from Coatue Management, Shunwei Capital, and Coinbase Ventures.
As mentioned in an update shared with CI:
“We at CertiK are thrilled to announce that we’ve just raised $37M to help us continue creating a more secure and trustworthy future for blockchain and crypto. It’s truly been a rocketship these past several years, and we’re excited to bring aboard some of the best global investors to help us with our mission.”
The announcement also mentioned that the CertiK Family now includes “some of the top global investors, Coatue Management, Shunwei Capital, and Coinbase Ventures,” to join their existing cast of investors, including Binance, IDG, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Lenovo.
Professor Ronghui Gu, CertiK co-founder, stated:
“The power of blockchain boils down to the power of the people. We’re proud to advance transparency in the space by providing the tools and resources – including our official audit reports – so the community can make sense of vital security information.”
Since Q1 2020, the CertiK team has managed to more than doubled in size – and there’s “no signs of slowing down.” With a “remote-friendly” culture, the CertiK team is able “to acquire the best of the best, regardless of where they are located,” the announcement noted.
As stated in the update:
“At CertiK, our product offerings go far beyond a leading security auditing service. We’ve created a ‘closed-loop’ solution to blockchain security which includes Skynet – a 24/7 monitoring service which leverages on and off-chain data to provide real-time security insights.”
CertiK also noted that the on-chain insurance alternative, CertiKShield, enables users to safeguard their assets from unexpected thefts. As explained by the company, all of this is, “much like blockchain itself, transparent, open, and accessible, through the CertiK Security Leaderboard- the number one security data aggregator in the space.”
The CertiK team added:
“With more than $70B of digital assets secured to date, we’re in prime position to protect the next $70B (and beyond!). On that note, we’d like to say thank you! To each and every member of our community, everyone who’s used a CertiK Security Product to DYOR, and to all the projects who’ve entrusted us with the verification of their security.”
