The cryptocurrency market has witnessed a broad-based rebound on Tuesday as the value of all popular virtual coins increased sharply after starting the week on a sluggish note.
At 9:50 am, Bitcoin was inching closer towards $37,000, up over 6.5 per cent from its value 24 hours ago. Smaller rival Ethereum (Ether) has rebounded sharply by over 14 per cent.
The recovery started on Monday evening as Ether gained more than 8 per cent to $2,587. It is now trading over $2,600. However, it still remains nearly 40 per cent below the record high it had hit earlier in May.

Bitcoin also gained as the cryptocurrency rose 3.7 per cent to $36,977 in quiet trading with London and US markets shut for holidays. One good sign for investors is that Bitcoin has been less volatile in recent days, but it is still down by more than 35 per cent this month.
The most popular cryptocurrency is currently trading at levels last seen in February and at roughly half its peak value of $65,000 in April.
The value of other popular cryptocurrencies like XRP (Ripple), Dogecoin, Cardano, Chainlink, Litecoin have also gained sharply, registering at least 11 per cent rise in value.
Today’s rebound is good news for crypto holders who have been tackling increased bouts of volatility over the past few weeks. However, given the regulatory hurdles at the moment, it remains to be seen if the virtual coin market can hold on to the gains.
