The Yadkin County Chamber of Commerce is planning to hold a mini-version of its annual Awards Banquet next month on June 22. The event will be planned for outside.
The staff is also planning a Winston-Salem DASH outing and looking at other opportunities that can safely be done.
New members who have recently joined the Yadkin County Chamber of Commerce include: Purple Alpaca Farms, represented by Gloria Folaron; AFLAC, represented by Cody Amburn; Jonesville Public Library, represented by Jennifer Rogers and Yadkin Nursing Center, represented by Christy Cardwell.
Chamber leaders said there was a sellout crowd for the Yadkin Winter Reds event that was held on two weekends in April. Those wineries participating were Brandon Hills, Cellar 4201, Flint Hill, Midnight Magdalena, RagApple Lassie, Sanders Ridge, Shadow Springs and Windsor Run Cellars. Lots of new visitors came to Yadkin County during the event, reported the Chamber. The TDA is planning for a “Summer Whites” event featuring white wines later in the summer.
The Showcase Yadkin Business Expo has been rescheduled to Thursday, Sept. 16 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Yadkin County Agriculture & Education Building in Yadkinville. Spots are still available for businesses to setup as well as sponsorship opportunities. Contact the Chamber office for more information.
The Chamber has rescheduled its “Canyons Adventure” trip to October 3 – 12. Very limited spots remain, call the Chamber office if interested.
