A former video journalist is sitting on a £17 million profit after a surge in the value of his bitcoin company.
Peter Wall is among the big winners from a huge rally in Argo Blockchain, the listed cryptocurrency miner that he has run since the start of last year.
As recently as November, its shares were changing hands for less than 10p, but they have soared to 238p amid a feeding frenzy for bitcoin and related assets. Argo Blockchain’s market value recently topped £1 billion.
