EAST BEND — The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest following a lengthy investigation into a residential break-in that occurred in January of last year. On March 18, the Sheriff’s Office arrested David Lee Garris, 41, of East Bend. Garris was charged with one felony count of safe cracking, one felony count of breaking and/or entering, one felony count of larceny of a firearm, and one felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
The initial break in was reported in January 2020 by a homeowner on Flint Hill Road. During the investigation Detectives were able to recover some of the stolen items.
Garris was released after posting a $10,000 secured bond. His next scheduled court date is March 24. The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
