CoPeace, has selected blockchain-based Equa for its investor relations service including equity and transfer management.
CoPeace is building a portfolio of for-profit companies that target social and environmental impact. CoPeace announced a Reg CF offering last year listed on Wefunder. CoPeace currently is promoting a Reg D offering. CoPeace states that its mission is to enable everyone to invest – not just wealthy individuals.
Equa has built an immutable governance platform that is designed to scale from organizational formation to day-to-day investment management. Designed for founders, executives, and shareholders at startups and blockchain companies, Equa manages documents and cap tables, equity distribution, investment, issuance, and more. Equa integrates across both digital equities or currencies.
CoPeace CEO Craig Jonas said that Equa is the only equity management and transfer agent platform they found that is both “thoughtfully designed and well executed.”

CoPeace is a holding company that employs investor capital to purchase a controlling interest in “purpose-driven subsidiaries.” Companies that meet certain criteria related to CoPeace’s causes can become a CoPeace company. CoPeace says that investors can invest in these companies, contributing to CoPeace’s mission to “do no harm” and also “do good.”

Additionally, Jonas has agreed to join the Equa Customer Advisory Board (CAB) to more actively contribute to the evolution of governance and shareholder relations solutions. Jonas said they want to help the Equa team realize their vision by contributing to their platform strategy as it evolves.
Equa leverages blockchain technology to track and secure agreements and their signatures, while are designed to minimize the friction associated with onboarding investors and transferring ownership.
