Blockchain and free speech are inseparable, says Bert Kozma

The world is once again entering an era of severe restrictions on freedom of speech. But, unlike the 20th century, now not only totalitarian states threaten free press and free access to information.

Big Tech corporations are now actively involved in censorship. Major social networks, such as Twitter, massively ban those who do not share current political views, be they bloggers, journalists or U.S. presidents. The availability of videos with a “wrong” political position is being restricted by YouTube algorithms. Even search engine results are censored — the visibility of certain types of content is often deliberately reduced, or this content may even disappear from the search results completely.

The cryptocurrency and blockchain industry was initially founded on the ideals of openness, transparency and decentralization. These are also the ideals with which we founded our online review platform called Cryptogeek.info

About Cryptogeek.info

Cryptogeek.info is an online review platform covering a wide range of cryptocurrency and blockchain companies.

We give the floor to all interested parties — on the brand page, you can read both a detailed review from our professional authors and reviews from ordinary customers. Brand representatives have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with the customers through the comments section. There is no censorship: Everyone is absolutely free to express their opinions.

We review both large and well-known brands (HitBTC, Binance, Coinbase) and young startup projects. In addition to the actual reviews, we publish various guides, market analytics and other useful information.

We also provide features, such as comparing two different brands and specified platform selection, where you can find a platform specifically for your needs.

Freedom of speech is one of the foundations of the prosperity of any society — both economic and cultural. This was remarkably formulated at the time by such intellectuals as John Milton and John Stuart Mill. It is very important to be open to opposing points of view. If the opposite point of view is wrong, we can strengthen our position, being aware of the possible arguments against it. If the opposite point of view is correct, then after listening to it, we will have the opportunity to realize where we are wrong.

We genuinely believe that freedom of speech is absolutely essential for the development of the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, and we do our best to adhere to the most core journalistic principles: truth, accuracy, independence and accountability.
