BOONVILLE — Former Starmount High School student-athlete and current football statistician, Deana King, has published a historical publication about the Starmount Rams Football Program.
“I’m a history fanatic so I wanted to combine my love for Starmount High School Football with that,” said King. “With my job at NCPreps.com, I’ve seen and heard of schools state-wide that don’t have any historical information on their sports. I wanted the Starmount community to have something ‘written down’ for future generations.”
“Under the Lights on Longtown Road – The History of Starmount Rams Football” is now available for purchase. This publication has every Ram Football team photo and results from the opening 1967 season through the 2019 season.
“The book has a little of everything about the Rams from the inaugural season of 1967 up to the end of the 2019 season,” said King. “There are team photos of every Ram team, game scores of all games, plus a cumulative record of Starmount’s record against all opponents. There are also memories and special thoughts from over 130 Starmount players plus the head coaches. It basically has everything you want to know about Ram Football.”
The 302 page publication has memoirs of all head football coaches, several assistants, 130 plus former players, support staff, and fans.
“I put my heart and soul into producing this and I hope Ram fans enjoy the special moments mentioned in the publication,” said King.
The price of the book is $25. To get the book by Priority Mail, it is $33. The book can also be ordered via PayPal or Venmo. Email Deana King at gatarams@yahoo.com for more information.
