The Board discussed at their Nov. 18 board meeting, the current State of Idaho Stage II Covid-19 restrictions which prohibit gatherings of more than 10 people. We decided that the Dec. 11 Rotary meeting will not be a physical meeting and will be held by Zoom only (those without computer access can call in by phone). Information including the link will be sent out to all members.

James Jordan will meet with our Assistant District Governor and the other club presidents in our district via Zoom meeting on Dec/ 7, 2020 to update what clubs and the district are doing. 

James, Scott McDonald, and Mike Riccomini worked on building box boxes for our Little Free Library book box project with Clearwater Memorial Public Library (CMPL). Three boxes are almost ready to paint. They will be installed at locations determined by CMPL.

We are looking for some tar paper and about a dozen asphalt shingles to roof our Little Free Library Boxes. If you happen to have some left over from a project and would like to donate them, please let Scott McDonald know. 

Jim O’Leary notified the board that Rotary’s portion of the State Hospital North (SHN) Cemetery Bridge project has been completed. SHN staff will paint the bridge in the spring and will put gravel at each end. Lynn MacEachern is working on an article covering the whole project (fence and bridge) for the Clearwater Tribune.

An accessibility ramp was installed at an Orofino residence on Nov. 18 by Habitat for Humanity and Orofino Rotary. Susie Larson is coordinating this project. 

County election equipment setup and pickup went well. Participating were Charlie Nation, Jim McCann, Jim O’Leary, Charlie Mosier, Jerry Nelsen, Jack Christiansen, Susie Larson, Teri Ploharz-Bolling and Mike and Denise Hedrick. 

Plans for the annual Christmas Party are on hold due to the current Stage II Covid restrictions. 

Belinda Stockton reported that the District Youth Exchange Program for the 2021-22 school year is moving forward at this point and 10 students have successfully applied for the long-term outbound exchange program. If the Covid-19 situation results in restrictions, a coast-to-coast exchange program within the U.S. is being considered.

Dec. 11 – Regular Friday Rotary meeting at 12 noon via Zoom. Login information will be emailed to all members. No physical meeting.

Dec. 16 – Board meeting at the Ponderosa at 7 a.m.

Dec. 25 – Merry Christmas. No meeting.
