Catherine Elizabeth Joyce of East Bend, and Jeffrey Drake Phillips of Yadkinville were married at 5 p.m. on Sept. 12, 2020 at Moore’s Springs Manor in Westfield, NC. Pastor Jared Hoots officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Rachel Joyce of East Bend. Her grandparents are Ronald Joyce and the late Phisa Joyce of Clemmons and Mary Key and the late Franklin Key of Lexington. She studied abroad at the London School of Fashion in London, England and received a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Textile Design at North Carolina State University. She is a designer for Interloop North America of Winston-Salem.
The groom is the son of Amy Brown of Yadkinville and Jeff Phillips of East Bend. His grandparents are Dean and Wanda Brown of Yadkinville and Peggy Phillips and the late Bill Phillips of East Bend. He served in the United States Army during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard. He attended Piedmont International University and served as a youth pastor. He is employed with Rainbow Cleaning Systems of Yadkinville.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an Allure sheath gown with an overskirt of sequined applique floral lace. She carried a bouquet of ranunculus and multi-colored summer blooms.
The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Hannah Holcomb of Yadkinville. The bridesmaids were the groom’s sister, Brooke Mosteller of Clemmons, Tayler Mosteller of Yadkinville, Kari Senter of Raleigh, and Jessica Adams of Dobson. The bridesmaids wore long, soft white floral gowns and carried garden bouquets.
The best man was the groom’s cousin, Nathaniel Mosteller. The groomsmen were the groom’s brother-in-law, Carl Mosteller of Clemmons, Reverend Luke Money of Eden, Meshach Hopper of Yadkinville, and Cody Collins of Nebo. The ushers were the bride’s brother-in-law, Jordan Holcomb, and the groom’s cousin, Kendall Brown of Elkin.
The guest registrar attendant was Jayce Arnette of Nashville, TN. The program attendant was the bride’s cousin, Freda Sanders of Winston-Salem. The guest greeter was Linda Neese of Clemmons. The wedding director was Donna Myers of East Bend.
The ceremony and reception music were provided by Jay Taylor and announcements were made by the groom’s friend Cody Wiley of Yadkinville.
Flowers were designed by Charlotte Logan, the bride’s mother and grandmother. The cake was provided by Danielle Kattan of The Canvas Cake Studio in Winston-Salem.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s family and catered by Little Italy in King. A dinner reception, hosted by the bride’s parents was prepared and served by family and friends of Enon Baptist Church in East Bend.
A bridal shower was hosted by Freda Sanders, family and friends of Enon Baptist Church on Aug. 2. The bride was honored at a Cinderella themed luncheon, hosted by the bride’s grandmother on Aug. 29, followed by a “Kiss the Miss Goodbye” bachelorette party and lingerie shower hosted by the bride’s sister.
After a honeymoon trip to Virginia, the couple will reside in Yadkinville.
