With the adidas Superstar‘s anniversary coming to a close very soon, the brand has invited a number of new guests to dress up the silhouette. Releasing in only about a day’s time, Footshop’s collaborative rendition sees the classic dressed up in a fashion uncharacteristic, its most signature elements warped to bear hiking influences and indigo-dyed traditional patterns.
The colorway, however, is relatively textbook as many of the leather panels are bereft of any bold hue. Shell toes are intact in white polish, while smooth leathers complement behind in a very subtly cream-tinted variation. And while the tooling follows suit in its shade, its tread is turned visually militaristic as it dons a ripple sole all throughout, a perfect pairing to the D-Ring lacing system that reminds of the archetypal hiking boot. Elsewhere, dark indigos accent all throughout, adding contrast to the contrast stitch threaded into the midsole, the oversized tongue patches that dress with branding, and the insole and heel tab whose print reinterprets traditional patterns.
Paired with a special dust bag and numbered to a highly limited set of 520, the Footshop adidas Superstar is currently up for raffle right now on footshop.com and will soon end come tomorrow, October 9th.
In other news, adidas further blends technology and sneakers with the Futurecraft Strung.
