The ninth annual Glory Days Tractor Show will take place this Friday and Saturday at 2937 Radiator Road in Yadkinville. Organizers are asking guests to follow social distancing guidelines as they come out to enjoy seeing antique tractors, lawnmowers, a tractor pull and special ceremonies each day honoring veterans.
Tractor enthusiasts from around the region have made it a tradition of gathering at the Neal family farm just outside of Yadkinville to celebrate with food, fun and Farmalls.
Food vendors will be on site for the event with everything from ice cream to BBQ.
The event will kick-off at 12 noon on Friday with a ceremony honoring veterans. Tractor games will begin at 1 p.m. with events continuing throughout the day. Music will open Saturday’s festivities with a lawnmower pull to follow at 10 a.m. and honoring of veterans at 12 noon.
Due to the pandemic, the entrance admission is being waived this year but guests are encouraged to donate. Each year proceeds from the event go to benefit a local charity. In years past, the Neal family has donated to organizations such as Mountain Valley Hospice, Impact Yadkin and the local VFW Post. This year’s Glory Days Tractor Show donations will benefit The Ark of Elkin.
