Virtual programs at Yadkin Co. library

The Yadkin County Library is offering a variety of online programming now through December.

“We are excited to start back some of our regular programming virtually. With a variety of programs, from Preschool Storytime and Craft Time to Adult Trivia and FolkTales, there is something for everyone,” said Branch Librarian Christy Ellington.

The fall virtual programming schedule includes adult trivia at 1 p.m. on Mondays and music on Mondays at 5 p.m. A teen program will take place at 5 p.m.on Tuesdays. Wednesdays will feature Stitch Therapy at 5 p.m. the second Wednesday each month, upcrafting on the third Wednesday and pantry meal planning on the fourth Wednesday, at 5 p.m. Thursday programming will include story time and craft time at 1 p.m. Folklore Friday will take place at 1 p.m.

While patrons may visit the library, there are still contactless methods available for book up and programming.

”For your convenience, we are still open for contactless curbside service as well as open for you to come in and grab some books to read or movies for the family to watch,” said Ellington. “A free library is located right outside our front door so that you can have books anytime, day or night. Take a walk at the County Park and check out our two story walks and get some exercise while enjoying a story with the kids or grand kids. Join our YA or Adult Book Club and find your next read or discuss your favorite book. There is so much to explore at your local library. Come by and visit us to see what all we have to offer. As always, if we can be of assistance in any other way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.”
