BOONVILLE — Due to COVID, the 2020 high school spring season was cut short. Many high school seniors now had time on their hands which they did not have before. East Wilkes senior, and now alumnus, Caeden Howell allowed the Elkin Tribune and Yadkin Ripple to get to know him during the quarantine. Howell is a class of 2020 graduate who will be attending St. Andrews University to play baseball. During his baseball career at East Wilkes, Howell was named All Conference and Honorable Mention.

History.
Who’s had the most influence in your life?
My mom. The GOAT.

Country, Rap, Hip-Hop

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Probably something to do with speed or strength

Baseball
What’s special about the place you grew up?
Wilkes is special because I got the opportunity to spend most of my time outdoors and also got to share most of my memories with close friends due to it being a small town.
What are you most likely to become famous for?
I would hope for baseball but other than that I could see myself doing a clothing brand for student athletes.
What are you looking forward to in the next few months?
My first year of college.

Gods timing is always right
What do you like most about your family?
With my parents being separated I feel like I get the luxury of having two families who both have different qualities, but I would say how close together we all are would be what I like most.
Who’s your favorite athlete and why?
Derek Jeter was, but as of right now I’d probably have to say Javier Baez just because of how passionate he plays the game and also the way he carries himself.

In my whole time throughout highschool it would have to be Coach Hayes, but since he left I’d have to go with my guy Coach Cawley.
