The Raiinmaker platform from Colin LLC today announced the launch of its beta platform that will bring influencer marketing and distributed ledger blockchain together.
The platform will empower fans and social media influencers to receive rewards for endorsements and provide brands the tools to measure the return on their investment in campaigns by gathering data on influencers and reach. To do that, Raiinmaker uses what it calls a proprietary algorithm using “Proof of Influence” to gauge that impact.
“We’ve created a truly unique way to let consumers take their passion for products and projects and communicate them to followers in a way that is actually monetizable for them, as well as very scalable and measurable for brands,” said Jonel Cordero, co-founder and chief operating officer of Raiinmaker.
The first project to launch on the platform will be “Open Source Money,” a documentary series about the rise of Disney-incubated blockchain company, Dragonchain Inc. The film also covers the global evolution of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
The documentary series will follow Joe Roets, the founder of Dragonchain, and other entrepreneurs around the world who have faced resistance from regulators such as the US government and the Securities Exchange Commission. Each episode speaks to contributors in the cryptocurrency technology industry including figures such as Patrick Byrne, Brock Pierce, Joe Roets and companies such as The Walt Disney Co., Facebook Inc. and more.
Open Source Money will premier on the Discovery Science Channel starting July 4.
According to Business Insider Intelligence, the influencer market industry is on track to be worth $15 billion by 2022, up from as much as $8 billion in 2019. Morning Consult also reported younger Millennials and Generation Z surveyed revealed that 86% would post sponsored content for money and 54% would become an influencer given the opportunity.
With these metrics in mind, Raiinmaker believes this is a great time to use the power of blockchain technology to change how brands speak to customers through influencers. By using blockchain, the platform will be able to use technology trends such as decentralized identity, provide a single source of truth using the distributed ledger and cryptographic provenance and automate matchmaking and reconciliation of the influencer management process.
Raiinmaker expects that this will in turn reduce the total cost per influencer engagement for brands and create a better experience for the influencers themselves. It may also serve to provide inroads for brands to tap a previously undiscovered audience.
Other upcoming projects on Raiinmaker’s radar include the film “Atari: A Fistful of Quarters,” produced by Vision Tree Media and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions, and Moby Fox, a smartwatch content and accessory company with licensing deals for Star Wars, Disney and Marvel.
“Raiinmaker leverages our expertise in both media and technology to deliver a platform best suited for empowering projects to successfully engage their audiences and to drive the kind of digital word of mouth that cuts through the noise,” said J.D. Seraphine, co-founder and chief executive of Raiinmaker.
The beta is now generally available and influencers are invited to participate in the first campaign for “Open Source Money” by signing up on the Raiinmaker website.
