  • VeChain Foundation launches VeChain Community Video Contest 2020 for its second anniversary. The first prize will be 1 million VETs.

Through its account on the Weibo social network, the VeChain Foundation announced its participation in the “Sino-Norwegian Sustainable Innovation” webinar. The event will take place on June 8, 2020 and will allow the VeChain Foundation to present the blockchain technology and its use cases to the participants. The VeChain Foundation presentation will focus on sustainable marine development.

The event has been co-organized by the Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai, Norwegian Seafood, Norwegian Agency for Innovation, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, among others. The second of these co-organizers partnered with VeChain to implement their solutions to the seafood industry.

The partnership was made in conjunction with DNV GL in early April. The partners agreed to build a platform to bring Norwegian products to the Chinese market. They will use the My Story™ traceability solution to facilitate the process by increasing safety, efficiency and helping to meet the Chinese government’s health requirements. As reported by CNF this is one of the partnerships VeChain has recently achieved. VeChain and DNV GL also partnered with Italian brand ICAB La Fiammante to use the VeChainThor blockchain to record all information related to the Italian tomato supply chain in a pilot project.
