Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of a mother in the mystery thriller ‘Pengiun’, which is slated to release on June 19 on Amazon Prime.
New Delhi: Amazon Prime Video released a teaser of Eashvar Karthic’s Penguin on Monday which tickled the fancy of netizens in no time. The trailer of the mystery thriller starring Keerthy Suresh will be out on June 11 and the movie will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam from June 19.
The brief clip showcasing a mother’s agony after her son gets kidnapped has been able to create quite a buzz.
Popular personalities from the industry – Trisha, Samantha Akkineni, Taapsee Pannu and Manju Warrier – turned to Twitter to unveil the teaser.
Taapsee, last seen in ‘Thappad’, tweeted, “Happy to release the teaser of #Penguin.A Powerful tale of a Mother’s rise to a situation when her nightmares come true.”
Twitteratti were all praises for Karthic’s directorial debut. Expecting a well-made movie, a user tweeted, “#PenguinTeaser hints at a well-made, emotional crime thriller. Interesting.”
Another user wrote, “Teaser rocked welll Let’s wait for trailer from June 11.”
Expressing disappointment over the film’s release via OTT route amid the coronavirus outbreak, a user wrote, “Missed this movie in theatres because of corona lockdown.”
An impressed user tweeted, “Thalaivi Another National Award Loading.”
The teaser has managed to create anticipation among the movie buffs and they are now eagerly waiting for the trailer.
