Denmark increases economic support to businesses hit by lockdown

COPENHAGEN (1) – Denmark’s authorities introduced round 100 billion Danish crowns ($14.6 billion) price of measures on Saturday to support businesses struggling in the course of the coronavirus lockdown.

The measures embody direct economic support to businesses, state-guaranteed loans and prolonged deadlines for tax funds, the federal government stated.

“With this settlement, we’re sending 100 billion crowns to firms to assist them and their workers get by way of this,” Finance Minister Nicolai Wammen informed state broadcaster DR.

The additional liquidity comes on high of an already introduced 287 billion crowns price of measures for businesses, together with direct support packages that may price the state greater than 60 billion crowns.
